Kaleidoscope is a non-profit enrichment program that offers varied educational and cultural opportunities to children in the Merrimack Valley. For the forty-first summer, Kaleidoscope offers one-week courses, where students are immersed in the subject(s) of their choice. The emphasis is on concrete learning in a creative setting. A highly qualified professional instructor teaches each group.
Classes meet from 9:00 - 11:30 AM or from 12:00 - 2:30 PM daily. Some courses run for the full day (9:00 AM - 2:30 PM).
Average class is 12, with a maximum of 15.

Parents' responsibility
$210 for each one-week AM or PM course. Special Offerings are $275. Full-day courses are $445. Full-day special offerings are $595. A $40 non-refundable registration fee per family covers processing of each form as well as enhanced sanitation measures. Additional fees are charged for some courses which involve extensive materials or trips. This information is included with course description if applicable.
Students from all communities are welcome and encouraged to participate in Kaleidoscope courses. Last summer we enrolled almost 600 children from 40 different communities. The program is open to all children regardless of race, creed, or ethnic origins.
Grade level requirements, listed with each course description, refer to the student's CURRENT GRADE at time of registration (not the grade they are entering in the fall). Age refers to age as of June 1, 2022. Please observe these guidelines when registering. If special circumstances exist, please call the director.
Courses are filled on a first come, first served basis by mail or online registration. Please use the codes listed with the course descriptions. Checks are made payable to KALEIDOSCOPE. Forms can be mailed to Kaleidoscope, Box 506, Andover, MA 01810. You are notified promptly by phone if a course is filled. You will receive an online confirmation, followed by a detailed email in late May/early June.
Some of our courses, due to their "active" nature, will require current immunization records as well as updated physicals prior to the start of class. This applies to classes with the following codes: 28, 35, 37, 49, 53, 64, 82, 98, 122, and 141.
This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (105 CMR 430.190C) and be licensed by the local board of health. Visit the Forms section of the website for more information.
A limited number of partial scholarships are available. Contributions to Kaleidoscope are tax-deductible and used for this purpose. Interested parties should call or write to the director.

For those students who enroll in both a morning and afternoon course, a closely supervised lunch area is provided free of charge. Students need to bring their own lunches.
Due to these uncertain times and to facilitate early registration, there will be no cancellation fees until after April 1, 2022. There is a $50 per course cancellation fee between April 1 and June 1, 2022 after which no refunds can be issued. This includes Extended Day. A $25 per course change fee applies after June 10, 2022.
Register three children and receive a 10% discount off the third child's tuition. (This applies to the child with the fewest courses.)
Our faculty, as in the past, is comprised of highly qualified, creative, enthusiastic professionals. We are very proud to have offered quality education for children for what will soon be forty-one years.
