
Kaleidoscope is a non-profit enrichment program that offers varied educational and cultural opportunities to children in the Merrimack Valley. For the thirtieth summer, Kaleidoscope offers one-week courses, where students are immersed in the subject(s) of their choice. The emphasis is on concrete learning in a creative setting. A highly qualified professional instructor teaches each group.
Average class is 12, with a maximum of 15.

Parents' responsibility
$155 for each one-week AM or PM course. A $30 non-refundable registration fee per family ($20 if only one child is enrolled for only one course) covers processing of each form. Additional fees are charged for several courses which involve extensive materials. This information is included with course description if applicable.
Students from all communities are welcome and encouraged to participate in Kaleidoscope courses. Last summer we enrolled 800 children from 40 different communities. The program is open to all children regardless of race, creed, or ethnic origins.
Grade level requirements, listed with each course description, refer to the student’s CURRENT GRADE at time of registration. Age refers to age as of June 1, 2010. Please observe these guidelines when registering. If special circumstances exist, please call the director.
Courses are filled on a first come-first served basis by mail, fax or email. Please use the codes listed with the course descriptions. Checks are made payable to KALEIDOSCOPE. All forms are mailed to Kaleidoscope, Box 506, Andover, MA 01810 or faxed to (978) 475-1422. You are notified promptly by phone if a course is filled. Otherwise, you will receive a confirmation postcard within a week, followed by a detailed letter in early June.
Some of our courses, due to their “active” nature, will require current immunization records as well as updated physicals prior to the start of class. This applies to courses with the following codes: 28, 51, 55, 75, 85, 97, 106, 130, 147, 158. This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (105 CMR 430.190C) and be licensed by the local board of health. A limited number of partial scholarships are available. Contributions to Kaleidoscope are tax-deductible and used for this purpose. Interested parties should call or write the director.
Prior to April 1, 2010, refunds are given, less a $25 per course cancellation fee. Between April 1 and June 1, a $50 per course fee applies. No refunds are made for cancellations after June 1, 2010.
